Morà is a family business, with a magnificent factory, enthusiastic go-getters …
The challenge: to design marble eyewear.
Preferably frames that are not too heavy, yet strong, comfortable and adjustable and in which you can mount optical lenses.
And of course with the Hoet signature.
Morà already had the factors of weight and strength under control.
The marble is cut with a water jet and is computer-controlled milled up to a thickness of 0.8 mm.
This is glued to a bottom layer of aerospace-quality carbon: light and strong.
Hoet met the remaining criteria.
In the autumn of 2017, three models were introduced at the Silmo Optical Fair in Paris.
A fourth model was added and was shown for the first time at the Mido Eyewear Show in Milan in February 2018.
With the fifth model ‘Venti’, Morà was nominated for the Silmo d’Or 2018 in the category: Optic frame ‘Eyewear designer’.
And we are very proud to announce that this model has won the Silmo’ d’Or!
